Osun ADC holds ward, local government congresses, elects new party executives
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) on Thursday held its ward and local government elections where new set of executives were elected for the part

At all the wards and local government areas in the state the election was held peacefully without any rancour or acrimony.

It was reliably gathered that the new party executives were overwhelmeingly chosen by members of the party at bot the unit and local government levels 

The chairmen and other executive members of the party at the unit and local government levels took the oath of office administered on them by some some of the party.

The election which was supervised by leaders of the party across the 30 Local Government Areas of the state went peacefully from the beginning to the end.

At the end of the congress, which was preceded by various political activities, past antecedence of the various contestants was brought to the fore.

Some of the newly elected local government chairmen of the party are Hon Soetan Taiwo (Ayedaade), Olubanji Akkntola (Ayedire), Hon Olufemi Famoyin among others.

Osun 2026: ADC endorses Agiri for Deputy Governorship position  The leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Osun State has endorsed Hon (Mrs) Oluwayemisi Temitope Agiri as the Deputy Governorship candidate of the party in the August 8, 2026 governorship election in Osun State. The party, in a letter signed by the state chairman, Dr Charles Idowu Omidiji addressed to the National leadership of the party urged the party's leadership at the national level to embrace the choice of Mrs Agiri as the running mate to the governorship candidate of the party, Dr Najeem Salaam.
