Easter: Eburu felicitates with Christians
A prominent traditional ruler and renowned educationist, the Eburu of Iba land, Oba (Prof) Adekunle Adeogun Okunoye Oyedeji 11 has felicitated with Christians on the occasion of this year's Easter celebration.

The foremost traditional ruler in his Easter message released by his Chief Press Secretary, Bamigbola Gbolagunte charged Christians to emulate Jesus Christ in their day to day activities.

The monarch urged christians to see the sacrifice made by Jesus Christ which culminated  in his death and resurrection as a huge one which was for the benefit of mankind.

Specifically, Oba Okunoye called on the people of Iba to also make sacrifice for the town in anyway they can like Jesus did for the whole world.

He said the sacrifice of Jesus is seen in the world today after many years that he laid down his life, saying that the sacrifices of today will pay off in the future.

The traditional ruler enjoined the people of Iba in particular to sacrifice their time, resources and other things for the development of the town so that generations yet unborn can benefit from their efforts.

He prayed God to spare the lives of all the people of Iba both at home and in the diaspora to witness many more Easter celebration.

Osun 2026: ADC endorses Agiri for Deputy Governorship position  The leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Osun State has endorsed Hon (Mrs) Oluwayemisi Temitope Agiri as the Deputy Governorship candidate of the party in the August 8, 2026 governorship election in Osun State.
