ADC: Ila federal constituency endorses Agiri for Deputy Governorship position 
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Ila federal constituency has endorsed Hon (Mrs) Oluwayemisi Temitope Agiri as the Deputy Governorship candidate of the party in the August 8 governorship election.

The federal constituency made up of Ila, Ifedayo and Boluwaduro Local Government Areas considered Mrs Agiri most suitable for the position.

In a resolution made by leaders and members of the party in the federal constituency, the party said the choice of Mrs Agiri, who hails from Ila-Orangun in Ila Local Government Area of the state will further boost the chances of the party.

In a statement issued by the chairmen of the ADC in Ila, Ifedayo and Boluwaduro Local Government Areas, Babalola Tajudeen, Azeez Adebisi and Oyedele Wasiu respectively, the party urged the leaders of the party in the state to support the choice of Mrs Agiri.

The chairmen informed that the endorsement gained the consent of notable leaders of the party from the federal constituency including Engr. Olajide Adeniji, Chief Odediji Segun and Hon. Funmilayo Gbadeyan, the ADC Deputy State Women Leader.

The statement reads "Our decision follows extensive consultations with party stakeholders, traditional leaders, women and youth groups across the federal constituency. 

"We are convinced that Hon (Mrs) Oluwayemisi Temitope Agiri possesses the integrity, competence and grassroots appeal required to complement the Governorship Candidate, *Rt. Hon. Najeem Folasayo Salaam in presenting a balanced, credible and winning ticket for Osun State.

"Hon. Mrs. Agiri’s proven record in public service, her unwavering advocacy for women inclusion, youth development and community advancement, as well as her accessibility to the grassroots, align perfectly with the ideals and vision of the African Democratic Congress. Her leadership qualities, empathy and dedication to inclusive governance make her an invaluable asset to the ADC and the Osun 2026 project.

"The ADC Chairmen of Ila, Ifedayo and Boluwaduro Local Government Areas therefore call on all ADC members, supporters and the good people of Osun State particularly within the Ila/Ifedayo/Boluwaduro Federal Constituency to rally behind this formidable ticket as we work collectively towards a new dawn of purposeful, accountable and people-driven governance in Osun State," the statement added.
