Osun ALGON chastise APC over fake call for NULGE resumption of work 
The attention of the Osun State Chapter of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), under the authentic and legally recognized leadership of Hon. (Otunba) Sarafadeen Abiodun Awotunde (Spain), has been drawn to a mischievous and misleading statement issued by a faceless faction of impostors parading themselves as ALGON under one Hon. Abiodun Idowu.

The so-called “APC ALGON” statement purporting to “welcome Local Government  workers’ decision to resume duty” is nothing but another desperate propaganda designed to confuse the public and intimidate our patriotic local government workers. 

The general public, especially our esteemed local government workforce, should note that there is only one legitimate ALGON in Osun State — the one composed of democratically elected PDP Chairmen and Councillors and led by Otunba Sarafadeen Abiodun Awotunde.

The impostors from the dissolved APC caretaker group have no legal or moral authority to speak on behalf of ALGON or to address our workers in any form. Their tenure was invalidated by competent court judgment, and their continuous impersonation constitutes a brazen disregard for the rule of law.

ALGON therefore urges all local government workers across Osun State to remain calm, focused and law-abiding. We urge them not to allow any factional group, impostor, or political agent to intimidate, coerce, or manipulate you into any illegal activity or confrontation. Continue to respect the lawful directives of the legitimate authorities and remain steadfast in your service to the people.

As soon as the impostors vacate the councils they are currently occupying illegally, all workers will freely and safely resume their duties without fear, interference, or political tension. The authentic ALGON leadership stands firmly with all local government workers and remains committed to ensuring their welfare, safety, and dignity.

We therefore urge security agencies and relevant authorities to take note of this renewed impersonation by the illegal APC faction and to protect the integrity of our local government institutions.

Court grants Action Alliance order to serve INEC, Yakubu Contempt Form through substituted service  The Federal High Court sitting in Osogbo, the Osun State capital has granted the Action Alliance (AA) an order for substituted service of contempt form (Form 49) on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and its national chairman, Prof Mahmood Yakubu.
