OSUN LEAGUE OF VETERAN JOURNALISTS ELECT NEW EXCO.

The League of Veteran Journalists in Osun State now has a new Leadership. 
The League rose from its monthly meeting in Osogbo (yesterday, 12th March) with the election of a six man Executive Council to stear  affairs for the next three years.
Sequel to the election (held on Wednesday the 12th of February 2025) the new Executive Council for Veteran Journalists in the State has Smolette Adetoyese Shittu-Alamu as  Chairman and Olatunji Idowu  as Secretary. 
Other newly elected Officers of the League are Dunmade Durojaiye, Treasurer, Sanya Fadipe Spokesman, Osu Babarinde Financial Secretary and Samuel Adeyekun who is the new Welfare Officer. 
In his acceptance speech at his swearing-in, the new Chairman, Smolette Adetoyese Shittu-Alamu promised to lead a transparent executive that will showcase inclusiveness, direction and  accountability. 
 Shittu-Alamu who was untill his election the Spokesman of the League assured that his leadership will also not deviate from the agenda-setting role which is a core responsibility of the profession of journalism.

KIDVARC schools celebrate 40th/30th anniversary

KIDVARC schools celebrate 40th/30th anniversary  Authorities of the KIDVARC Nursery, Primary and High Schools, Iree has announced activities for the 40th anniversary of KIDVARC Nursery and Primary School and 30th anniversary of the KIDVARC High School both in Iree, Boripe Local Government Area of Osun State. Also, the 15th remembrance anniversary of the Proprietor of the schools, Dr Samuel Oyedokun Omotoso will be held during the anniversary celebration. A statement released by the chairman media and publicity committee of the Anniversary Central Planning Committee, Pastor Bamigbola Gbolagunte indicates that the anniversary activities will kick off on Thursday, 11th December, 2025 with a press conference at Ojuolape hall, KIDVARC schools, Iree by 11am. Court grants Action Alliance order to serve INEC, Yakubu Contempt Form through substituted service  The Federal High Court sitting in Osogbo, the Osun State capital has granted the Action Alliance (AA) an order for substituted service of contempt form (Form 49) on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and its national chairman, Prof Mahmood Yakubu. The Action Alliance and some members of the party had through a motion exparte dated 14th April, 2025 sought an order for substituted service of Form 49 on INEC and its national chairman.
