Nigeria @64: Former Osun ALGON Chairman charges Nigerians not to lose hope
Immediate past chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) in Osun State, Otunba (Hon) Sarafadeen Abiodun Awotunde has charged Nigerians not to lose hope in the project of Nigeria as there remains hope for the nation despite the current challenges bedeviling it.
Hon Awotunde who is also the immediate past chairman, caretaker management committee of Ifelodun Local Government Area said the country will still rise above the current challenges if the people can remain focus and prayerfully seek the face of God
In his independence day message, Otunba Awotunde who is the chairmanship candidate of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Osun State said the current economic hardship in the country needs the attention of the federal government, just as he called on the federal government to do everything possible to alleviate the sufferings of the masses.
He stressed the need for the government to ameliorate the sufferings of the Nigerian people by putting succour on the faces of the people through economic reforms.
The PDP chieftain called for an urgent need to rescind some policies of the APC led federal government that have caused untold hardship in the country in the last nine and half years of the APC led government.
He also used the occasion to acknowledge the good works of the current administration in the state under the focused and caring leadership of Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke, saying that the Governor has brought light to the darkness of the state through his focused administration and people's friendly policies.
Hon Awotunde urged the good people of Osun State to continue to support the PDP led government of Asiwaju Ademola Adeleke, just as he called for continuous support of the PDP in the state, stressing that the party is determined to transform the state.
Besides, Otunba Awotunde enjoined the people to give maximum support to the PDP in the coming local government election for the good works of the PDP led government of Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke to continue and get to all the grassroots.
While praying for a better Nigeria, the former ALGON Chairman called for continuous prayer for the country as the nation turns 64.
Also, he encouraged Nigerians to continue to pray for the country and those at the helm of leadership for the country to move forward and for the dreams of the founding fathers to be realized.
