Aduragbemi foundation sets to honour prominent Iba indigenes
A Non Governmental Organization, the Aduragbemi foundation in conjunction with the circle club of Iba will on Saturday honour some distinguished indigenes of Iba with meritorious award.
The awardees were said to have contributed significantly to the progress and development of the town, hence the honour.
The organizers of the award ceremony said the award presentation will further encourage the awardees and others to do more for the development of the town.
A statement issued by the chairman of the planning committee, Comrade Anthony Odeyemi indicates that the ceremony will hold at the Area council office, Iba on Saturday, 31st August, 2024 by 10am.
During the ceremony which is expected to attract the presence of notable personalities from within and outside Osun State, public lectures will be delivered by Dr Dayo Sobowale of the Federal University, Oye Ekiti and Alhaji Rafiu Akin Olaore, a chief lecturer at the Osun State Polytechnic, Iree.
Also expected are the Eburu of Iba, Oba (Prof) Adekunle Adeogun Okunoye Oyedeji 11, the Eburu in council and the immediate past chairman caretaker management committee of Ifelodun North Area Office, Alhaji Ganiyu Adebimpe.
Also, students of tertiary institutions, secondary and primary schools, artisans, transporters and people from all walks of life are expected at the ceremony.
